The Lobby

The first thing you see when you enter Chambers is the scale of what Rockwell achieved in the lobby: a double-height atrium with a mezzanine level overlooking the main floor, wrapped in warm, copper-toned wood paneling that deepens as the light changes throughout the day.

A central fireplace anchors the seating arrangement below. Above the mezzanine, a large-scale circular artwork serves as the room's focal point, visible from the entrance and commanding attention up close.

The reception desk occupies one side without dominating the space. Everything in the lobby is arranged to make arrival feel like arrival, not just check-in.

The Mezzanine

The mezzanine level above the lobby provides a second lounge area with a different relationship to the space: elevated, more private, ideal for conversation or simply watching the lobby below. Red lounge chairs and dark wood millwork give the level its own character within the building's broader design vocabulary.

The Rooms

Rockwell's work extends through every accommodation type. French casement doors, a recurring element throughout, connect rooms to the city outside while maintaining the intimacy of the interior. Warm neutrals, hardwood floors, and hand-selected art distinguish each room from the expected. No two are identical; the architecture takes the constraint of a hotel floor plan and works against it.

The Materials

Throughout the building, the material palette reads: natural walnut, warm plaster, polished concrete, copper detail, and textile selections that reflect the brand's beige-to-orange warmth. The approach is not minimalist. It is edited. There is texture everywhere, but never noise.
